Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman holds the Honorary Chair in Psychology at the University of California Davis and is Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She is widely acknowledged for her pioneering the science of eyewitness memory in children and utilizing child victims to be legal witnesses. Professor Goodman who is a prolific author with numerous publications and many awards to her credit and is the recipient of numerous international and national prizes. She has worked with various organizations and government officials across the world on policies as well as research on child victims in the legal system. She has been a consultant with the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center, formerly The Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of many professional organizations including the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychological Psychology of women and trauma stress 56). Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has been president of three divisions (Division Society for Policy and Child Development and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
